Just bought new "Micro Desert Eagle", PICS inside

Well I had been looking for a smaller gun to carry then the full sized ones I have, although most of the time one of the others is my choice to carry most of the time.

Saw this Micro Desert Eagle, and really like it, bought new in the box...

I don't have any pistols... but my brother has the old trusty Dirty Harry 44 magnum. You want to have ear plugs when you shoot that thing. Man that thing is small... seems like it would be tough to shoot being so small.

MSRP is $535, they sell at most places around $499, a couple at $479. I found this one at a local gunshop, where I got my carry permit class, it was $449. plus tax, and a $10 background check fee.

Does your carry permit allow you to carry any place concealed... just curious what the laws are in other places.

From what I have learned it is good in 37 out of the 50 states, carry conceiled anywhere, except federal courthouse/buildings, and schools, although you can carry it to just pick your kid up outside the school.

Any business that does not want you to bring a firearm into their business may post a sign on the entrance saying so, and you are suppose to abide by their wishes. Wal-Mart used to have the signs on their doors, But I have not seen any on them in a year or two.

There are more laws, and each state has a few different ones, and they seem to be changing certain ones daily as well.

You used to not be able to carry into any business who's main means of profit was from alcohol (ie: bars etc.) But recently I heard you can now carry in them if you have a permit, and there is no sign on the business. Also you used to not be able to carry firearms into public parks, but that was also changed recently I believe. (I always have brought a gun with me to the mountains and forest near my house, Cherokee National Forest, southeastern TN. Because there are a lot of bear, and other wild animals there. A couple years ago, a lady and her kid got malled by a bear in a campsite only 25 minutes from here.

The concealed laws in TN sound exactly the same as the ones here in Texas. The recent changes in where you can carry that you mentioned are also recent changes here.

That's a nice "micro" hand gun you have there. I used to have a compact S&W, but I hated how inaccurate it was and how, even with an extended grip/mag, part of my hang hung off the end of the grip. I've just stuck with full sizes since then.

I understand and agree with the small/micro factors, and I would rather carry one of my med/full sized guns, but in some circumstances this small one is nice to slide into front pants pocket, or whereever...

Meh, I like my full-size XD-45. It conceals alright.

For the price of that little thing, I'd just buy a Taurus PT-145 or XDSC-9.

But then again... I'm not exactly a small guy.
